Summary of Hogon-in
Hogon-in (宝厳院) is a Rinzai sect temple in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan.
In Shishiku-no-niwa (garden), you can stroll while admiring cherry blossom, moss, autumn leaves etc.
Although it is not ordinarily open to the public, it will be open in spring and autumn.
Autumn leaves are best view about from the middle to the end of November. Cherry blossoms are best view about the beginning of April.
In autumn, special night visit will be held.
The special viewing for the spring of 2019 is held from March 16 to June 30, the open hours is 9:00 to 17:00, and the entrance fee is 500 yen. (Finished)
The special night viewing for the autumn of 2019 is held from November 8 to December 1, the open hours is 17:30 to 20:30 (last entry 20:15), and the entrance fee is 600 yen.
