Summary of Tenryu-ji
Tenryu-ji (天龍寺) is a Rinzai sect temple in Saga (Arashiyama), Ukyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan.
It is registered as a World Heritage Site, as one of the “Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto”.
The Sogenchi Teien (Garden) which benefits from the scenery of Arashiyama, is planted with a variety of plants and can show various scene due to the changing seasons.
The garden is always in good condition and very comfortable.
Autumn leaves are best view about the middle of November.
Cherry blossoms are best view about the beginning of April.
