Summary of Ryoan-ji
Ryoan-ji (龍安寺) is a Rinzai sect temple in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan.
It was registered as a World Heritage Site, as one of the “Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto”.
It is very famous for Hojo Teien (Rock Garden) that is represented by only white sand and 15 stones.
Autumn leaves are best view about from the middle to the end of November. Cherry blossoms are best view about from the beginning to the middle of April.
