Summary of Koto-in
Koto-in (高桐院) is a Rinzai sect temple in Kita-ku, Kyoto, Japan.
Moss garden, there is a stone lantern in the center, is a beautiful, very simple and harmonious garden.
Autumn leaves are best view about from the end of November to the beginning of December.
The construction of Hondo (Main hall) was completed on November 1, 2019. Koto-in will be reopened on November 10.
Currently, Koto-in is suspended, because Hondo (Main Hall) is under construction. It will be reopened in autumn 2019.
